Partnering with Immanuel, we help others experience heart healing and shalom.

Shalom Center’s counseling services are unique and holistic.

We offer online coaching and biblical counseling with a focus on meeting you where you’re at. As one’s heart finds healing during counseling, equipping a person to maintain the ground taken, grow, and flourish long-term beyond individual sessions is the #1 challenge for counselors and clients.

Therefore, we have created customizable tools that have helped many followers of Jesus not only find healing but also experience high levels of joy, peace and secure attachments within their context of Christian community.

Emotional maturity isn’t a destination—it’s a lifelong journey. And let’s be honest: it’s a journey most people never choose to take. Why? Because it’s hard. It requires humility, discomfort, and the willingness to unlearn old patterns in exchange for unfamiliar, healthier ones.

We live in a world that prizes image over integrity, performance over presence, and comfort over growth. Emotional health work challenges all of that. It asks us to confront pain we’ve buried, own behaviors we’ve justified, and let go of control in favor of transformation. And that’s exactly why many avoid it.

Fear of vulnerability. Resistance to change. Shame. Pride. Busyness. Painful pasts. Mistrust of others. Lack of safe spaces. These are just a few of the barriers that can stand in the way. But breakthrough only comes when we press through those walls—and begin to do the work anyway.

We exist to help you grow healthy roots deep, so your life bears sustainable, life-giving fruit. Because emotional health doesn’t just make you feel better—it empowers you to live, lead, and love from a grounded and authentic place.

Here, we believe deeply that your emotional health is worth fighting for. And that healing is possible, not in perfection, but in consistent, courageous steps forward.

We’re Rebecca and Chris, emotional health coaches who are walking this lifestyle out daily. We know what it’s like to feel stuck, to wrestle with old wounds, to risk being honest—and to experience the freedom and restoration that comes with doing the hard things anyway. We don’t just teach this stuff. We live it.

This space is for people who are ready to grow, even when it’s uncomfortable. Who are willing to face the truth with humility. Who are hungry for more peace, more wholeness, more freedom.

If that sounds like you, welcome. You’re in the right place.

"Emotional health may not be the most important thing—but without it, everything else is impacted. It shapes how we love, how we lead, how we connect, and how we live. You can have success, faith, intelligence, or good intentions, but without emotional maturity and healing, cracks eventually show. Emotional health isn’t everything, but it touches everything." ~ Chris Caputo

I’m so grateful to have Rebecca in my life, both as a friend and a counselor. Her ability to listen without judgment and offer insightful perspectives has been invaluable to me. She creates a safe and comfortable space where I feel truly heard and understood. I highly recommend Rebecca to anyone seeking support and guidance.” ~ Christina

Rebecca has been a huge part of my development as a woman and as a wife. I was very new in America. That means I didn’t know anything about the way of living when I first got here. And being married to someone not from my country is not easy. Plus, I don’t have my family here to talk to about my struggles. I’m so glad and so grateful to the Father that He made a way for me and her to meet because if not for her, I wouldn’t know how to deal with my problems at that time. I felt like she was really interested in listening to me and that’s why it made me feel very comfortable to talk about the things I didn’t even want to admit to myself. We worked on myself first and one of the most memorable lessons I learned from her is to be honest with myself. Sounds easy if you think about it but it’s not once you’re in a situation where emotions are overwhelming you. She approached my issues biblically, she made me feel heard, and what’s even more wonderful about her, since I struggle with the language sometimes, is that I feel like she can read my mind and she always knows what to say, that made it so easy for me.”
~ Dana

"Emotional health and maturity don’t happen by accident—they’re the fruit of intentional effort, honest reflection, and the courage to heal what’s been ignored. Your inner world and your relationships are worth the work." ~Rebecca Jo Caputo
